Musk Called It Tesla's "Best Product Ever." Now the Cybertruck Is Being Scrapped.
The Cybertruck era is ending. The Wall Street Journal reports Tesla will wind down Cybertruck production at its Texas factory by mid-2027 — about four years after the truck's late-2023 launch — freeing up capacity for the Cybercab robotaxi. Elon Musk once called the Cybertruck Tesla's "best product ever." The market never fully agreed: roughly 73,000 were sold in three years, and the truck became a symbol of Musk's right-wing politics as much as a vehicle.
